halogen back up lights
i'm thinking about buying some halogen back up lights from jc whitney catalog to replace the ones on my 83 f 100. they are suppost to be 2 and a half times brighter and last longer. i dont need to put on extra lights, just have some more light from the stock ones. anybody ever use these?

If you are planning on going with the 50W 1156's, You may be disapointed with the results as they draw so much current through the factory wiring/backup switch that they will not put out the rated 50W of lighting. Your best bet would be to add a relay and fused 12V circuit from the battery (batt side of the starter relay) using 12ga wire.
