found 6.0 engine cheep ????

A friend of mine blew up his 6.0 in 06 f250 we have found one for 800$ with 65,000 miles on creigslist ad says hear it run .sounds to good to be true.Is there anyway to find out if it's from a stolen truck .I'm not in the business of buying stolen parts at all

If you can hear it run, it must be in the truck right? Take a peek to see if the vin and license plates are still there. Your local DMV can run the numbers to tell you if its stolen.

I've seen a few 6.0 and 6.4 engines for sale for 1000+ $

800$ seems low, but who knows
