I just bought a '90 Bronco II with a snow plow that I removed and installed on my '92 Ranger. The Bronco also had air bags inside the front coils which I removed and was going to install on my Ranger. Here's the problem:
The chassis on my Ranger is an original '88 STX with the High Rider option. The front coils on High Riders must be taller because I found the air bags from the Bronco II were too short to do any good. Even when fully inflated they weren't even touching the bumpers. Since the High Rider was such a rare option I highly doubt anyone makes air bags for this application. I was wondering if bags for a F-150 would fit? Does anyone know if the coil springs are the same diameter or if this would work? I'd like to have a little more lift when I have the plow installed.
