MAF and TB location

MAF and TB location
99 F150 S/C 5.4
Please excuse this very basic question. I am pretty much a weekend oil changing mechanic.
Just looking for a little info on where two items are. I keep meaning to by a Chiltons but just haven't gotten around to it. I need to locate the MAF and the TB to clean them. I am having a little pinging problem an I have seen read on a nother thread that cleaning these may help.
MAF, I would assume is it something different that just taking out the air filter and cleaning the rubber tube?
I have no idea where the TB would be. Maybe up under the 5.4L plastic cover where the throttle cable is?
They sure make it hard to save a few bucks on trying to do things yourself with these new engines.
Any help would be appreciated.....

MAF and TB location
Your are pretty much correct on both. The mass-air sensor is located in the left 1/2 of the air cleaner assembly just behing the screen. You want to spray the thin wire in there with throttlebody cleaner. The TB(throttle body) is located under the 5.4 cover. Remove the inlet hose that comes from the aircleaner to access it. Spray it down as well. Be sure to get the hoses back on and tight. If there is a vacuum leak between the TB and the Mass-Air sensor, it will run very poorly!!
