Ode to my Excursion
As I sit in the back with my youngest daughter asleep on my side, my wife driving, and the other 5 kids asleep in their seats, I have time to reminisce about you. You are old (10 years this April), worn (200,000 miles), rusty, squeaky, and leaky. You burn oil a little more every year. You gave us a scare last week (wife took girls to Chicago to see Santa and pulley went - had to be fixed by dealer because my wife was afraid to drive home). But you always get us there. We are now 1000 miles into are trip and you have burnt no oil and get 13.5 mpg.
