I am in need of a proper air cleaner decal for my '70 390 Ranger

I ordered one from Dennis Carpenter but the radius is wrong.

Decal looks like original but with wrong radius it fits wrong portion of air cleaner lid.

Yes, Yesterday I got carried away, after a base and clear on air cleaner I still was not happy so sanded and buffed it!

Also looking for a copy of the new 2014 NAPA Muscle Car Calendar as my
'70 SCJ 429 Cyclone SPoiler is January. I found one copy but would like another for the "file" to keep.

Obviously the premium fuel 4v decal is not correct but may just stick it on to have something.

The smaller decal is what was on truck but had different radius, I thought it was original decal

 

Is the dearborn decal 70-71 car only?

I have an older (2004) paper catalog that shows all the air cleaner decals. Dunno if the current online catalog does.

 

390 - 4V ???? There was no 4V.......

This is an original 360 but should be the same for the 390 in 1970.

I was thinking the 70 390 got the bigger decal. I'm gonna research that and see what I come up with.

My truck had the checkered 390 decal.
Ordered new one from carpenter but radius is wrong will not fit proper location.

The 4v prem fuel is decal I had, tempted to use.

contact this seller for the correct one. This is for the orange and white checkered but he also sells the orange and black checkered one you have in your post above. Tell him yours is a 1970 390.

2 similar decals. I did not pay enough attention to it. Carpenter just sent wrong one. They sent the one in pic a -E I needed the -D as Autolit has. 10.00 plus 4.00 to ship. A bit steep for single item.

 

yep, a little high. You might can find them cheaper else where as I was just trying to find the correct one for you. I think I would go with the orange and white checkered since I think that's the same kind as on the picture of the original truck I posted above as reference.......
I always thought that the 70 started using the bigger 390 2V decal as that's what would always come up when doing a search for the air cleaner decal. I pointed out the 4V Decal Above Because You Seemed To Be Going About This Correct AND The 4V Decal Would Not Be correct.
