Radiator seeps seem to be a big problem. I have not found the actual leak but can always get the smell. Tech says it has been at the end seems where they are pressed together. Including the original radiator, Ford has installed 3 radiators under warranty on my 2012 within 35k.I guess on the upside I keep getting new coolant each time.

Hi riverrat41,

Just to clarify, are you experiencing a leak now? I'm always happy to do what I can to assist.

2011 F-250 with 53K miles

Looks like I'm joining the leaking radiator club. The leak is in the same spot as most of the others - driver's side corner down by the frame rail...

I'll be PMing crystal as it's going to the dealer Monday for some flash updates...

Thanks,

Bill

Thank you for the help Crystal.

All,

Tracy, my Regional Customer Service Manager was able to reduce my local dealer's repair estimate from $1700 down to $1400. She then agreed to cover half of the repair.

While I can't say that I'm happy with a radiator that fails after 50K miles, I do appreciate that Ford at least pitched in some $$$.

Both my dealer and Tracy claim to have "never heard of an issue with radiators leaking on F-250s"

I too have a radiator leak issue my 2013 F250. Just over 50K miles on it. Seems like Ford should correct this issue.

Welcome to the forum, aldcpa. If you haven't already, I'd recommend having your radiator diagnosed at your local Ford Dealership. Let me know when you've had the truck inspected; I'll be happy to do what I can to help out.

Thanks, Crystal. I've already had it looked at by the Ford Dealership and they recommended the replacement. I got a 2nd opinion from a local mechanic that confirmed the leak and let me know it was a known issue with the radiators. I've also logged a message with @FordService.

Thanks for the quick reply, aldcpa. Since you've been in touch with my colleagues on Twitter, I recommend continuing to work with them.

My friend's 2014 6.7 radiator leaked in the same spot, my 2009 6.4 radiator leaked in the same spot, and my 2013 6.7 radiator leaked in the same spot... how long do you let a problem continue before coming up with a solution?

Angry 2014 F-250 Leaking Radiator

I too have a leaking radiator. With only 46K miles, it is hard to believe that I will need to replace the radiator. Is there anything I can do? Or is this something I can plan to do every 40K miles. I am open for suggestions.

thanks

no other option it has to be replaced mine went at 52,000. pretty easy to do yourself though.if you can change oil you can do that.

Ref, Mishimoto makes a replacement primary radiator. However, I disagree with Brody in that if you can do an oil change you can do a radiator swap. I think my girlfriend can do a oil change, but removing all the different nuts and bolts on rad would prove much more difficult for her haha.
