I know its been discussed before and nobody is making them currently but does anybody know anything that will work? The center duct and driverside duct is not salvagable at all on the 78 Bronco I just bought. It would be great to have the heat and a/c blow out the vents instead of just everywhere behind the dash and lower vent.
I took the current ducts out because they looked about like a slinky all the material is gone from them its just metal. Everything in the junkyard looks the same.
You can also buy a section of vinyl vent hose 4inches wide for the drivers side vent. You can get it from your local hardware store. The middle vent you will have to do the above described way to fix it!
Does anyone have a source on the vinyl vent hose? The only stuff i found online smaller than a dryer vent was $120 for 8' i neither need nor want to spend that much.
I seen those on ebay last night. I wonder why some ducts are solid plastic with a elbow on it? They should all be like that. On mine from the lower vent all the way to driver vent its that material that deteriorates with age.
I hit the jack pot on vents the other day. I got 3 driver side vents and 3 middle vents. One of the driver side vents was solid plastic, that's the one I used. Its great having all the vents work.
