I'm new to the site myself, but am also from NC. Where are you located? If you still have the '70 you listed, make sure to get some photos of that too. I'm a fan of the 59-72 range.
Hi, Im in Charlotte, Im knee deep in truck repairs now! 79 is real nice, just needs little stuff done.. 70 is a Texas truck we just got in Aug. going to put a 460 in it soon to pull our 72 Airstream. Pulling 460 out of my 78 Camper Special that needs to much body work. Pics will come soon of all trucks when I figure this out!
Well Street I have the opposite problem. I have zero trucks and mainly envy right now. I'm hoping this forum might guide me in the right direction of finding a beginners truck. My dad had a '59 F-100 with what i'm told was a rare wrap-around real glass window. It was pretty fun, so i'll try to get a pic up here at some point.
A few years ago he was working on his will and asked me if I wanted anything of his when he passes and I said the truck. He sold it a few months ago, so I guess some conversations don't last, haha.
Best of luck with the engine swap. I'm glad to see you'll be pulling with the '70. It'll be an ordered age progression with the '70 infront of the '72 airstream.
