Ive done alot of reading about the different tire sizes that one can fit on a non lifted truck. However, Ive read nothing that fits my application.
I have a 05 King Ranch with 20" Harley rims on it. Thats how the truck came. Now i been reading that sometimes you can fit a 35 inch but with 18 inch rims..
I would like to put 35x12.5x20 on my stock King Ranch...Possible???
no idea actually, if you have a discount tires near you that you have a good relationship with, they may mount one on and check clearance for you. They did that for me when I was looking around at different tires!

35" tires are 35" tall no matter what size rims you have. You just have less sidewall with 20" rims. The question is,will the 12.50 width fit your stock rims. Any reputable tire shop should know this.
Have a 2006 with the 8 spoke 20 inch rims from a 2010. I have Toyo 295-65-20s ATII on my truck with no lift or leveling kit. I have the factory mudflaps and they just rub a little bit while turning the wheel. If I didn’t have the mudflaps they would clear.
Look at the tire websites. They give you min and max recommended wheel widths for each tire they sell. I am pretty sure the factory 20s are 8 inches wide. I don’t think any manufacturer recommends any 12.5 be run on an 8 inch wheel. Check the web sites to verify. People probably do it though, but will it rub, is it safe, will they stand behind the tire if it fails....I don’t know.
Toyo says you can run their 295s on an 8 inch wheel and I know it fits under my truck.
Thanks so much for the info... I will be pulling the trigger on this. i really like the idea of going to the shop and having them put the tire on and test fitting it.
I know it will fit on the tire. I was worried about rubbing. So I will try and look at my mud flaps and see if theres anything that I can do.
On stock rims you might be ok, but I think rim width might cause you issues with distortion in the tread block because of the lower profile sidewalls compared to a smaller rim. I rubbed 35x12.50s under a 2" leveling kit, but the tires were backspaced out about an inch, and it was only on the driver's side where the trac bar was a little out of center.
Anything larger than 12" on OEM rims will not wear properly. I learned the hard way a LONG time ago. Tire width should be within 2" of the wheel width. Read thru the tire manufacturer web sites to see what they say the width is for the tire. Take note of the measuring wheel width. This is usually noted in BOLD type on the spec sheets. This references the wheel width that they used to get the tire measurements for their spec sheets.
