my engine (5.4litre} v8 just blew up after driving 2000 miles with less than 10oz of oil valvaline 5w40 durablend to be exact . i took the truck to firestone and they drained the oil and forgot to refill it {another subject completely} but the oil did an awesome job as i drive very fast on the freeway and for extended periods too so I am very impressed with the oil and with the engine howerever as of this email i still have no truckto drive i might have to sue firestone to get my engine replaced . but maybe valvaline will buy my story : fat chance anyway the durablend is awesome oil and would recomend it to anyone getting an oil change
I also own a 2000 excursion and I use Durablend. I am very satisfied with it. I also recent put a K&N fuel injection tune up kit (actually it is a system that replaced the stock filter system from inlet to the throttle body). Only had it a week so far but already can tell horse power is slightly better and am on first fuel fuel tank, so will update with impression of gas savings.
