I have some bad vacuum check valves in my IWE system and I'm having trouble finding new check valves. Ford will sell them but not separately. I'd have to buy the hole section of line for $18 to replace 1 check valve. Then $22 for the second bad valve. About $60 to replace all three.
You probably have your answer already, but I'll post up in case it will help someone else. I had read in another forum this is what you need for the IWE vacuum lines.
I just ordered one but it won't be here until this weekend. I'll try and post back to confirm if it is the correct part. As you mention, I could only find the lines, and figured for 10 bucks I would take my chances.
OK, the vacuum check valve I posted a part number for above is the check valve inline to the motor. However, although the "black" side is for a larger hose, it does fit in line at the solenoid. I have not been able to find the "correct" valve for the solenoid side, but seem to be successfully using the larger valve for now. I will update if/when I experience catastrophic failure!
Yeah, I had to use the 1/4" to 1/8" check at the solenoid. According to my dealer, the 1/8" to 1/8" check valve part number has been replaced with the YG-360. Also, I have not been able to find the check valve closest to the brake booster without purchasing it with the hose. It is 1/4" in and out. My dealer wants $38!!! However, I was able to successfully clean this one with electrical cleaner and WD-40. It works fine now. I believe that's because it was the furthest away from the debris/rust being sucked through the system.
