I think you could try a little heavier oil and have a look at your u-joints. you may not have do all that work. cost wise i am sure it will be a few thousand dollars for both. can't help you with exact numbers - haven't done mine yet cause i am only at 160,000 miles.
Mechanic told me that M5OD run a little light on the ATF fluid. It's not as thick as needed so you will get gear wear early. I'm running straight 30 weight motor oil in mine (Ford recommends in heavy duty apps) and it helps it alot. But run a Synthetic if possible cause dino oil will bind until warm on real cold days.
Okay I had all new u-joints put in about 3 months ago so they still should be good. I am running 10w 40 in my engine now. So tell me what I should run in it. I want this motor to last as long as possible
what kind of tranny fluid did you tell me to use?
Thanks a bunch guys
