I am looking for an AC compressor bracket for a 300 I6 or and after market mount! Does any one know of one? Most I6’s around here don’t have them or they have been removed and pitched. Junk yards have not been much help!
I have the complete acessory drive brackets I took off a 88 I-6 parts truck. Would let them go real cheap since I don't need them and would like to clear out the bed of my truck. Don't know if they would fit an older six, but it would be cool to switch one over to a serpintine delt drive. All you would need are the pullies.
Steve 83,
Where did you get that picture at, i am putting on board air on my 80 f 150, and need to get or fab an ac bracket for my eaton ac for air, similiar to york. Pretty much exactly the same as a york. Anyways i have the tank and all the plumbing done, all i need is a bracket and wiring(i'll do) to make it work. Any help would be appreciated
Is it off a truck with ac, modified, or fabbed or what
Thank-you
Harmon
The york compressor was used 73-82. Factory air and dealer installed air used different brackets. Factory had the compressor mounted at an angle on the 300 six. My 81 with dealer air had the compressor vertical. The picture above looks like 80-86 dealer air with horizontal mounting.

I have a 1980 ford f150 4x4 with manual lockout hubs. I just repacked my front bearings, and they still seem to get hot. Do you know if you have had this same problem. I repacked them again a week later, and replaced the brake calipers bc they were cheap, and had been sticking 8 years ago, the last time the truck had run. I plan on using the truck for anything i need to, ie cross country treks if need be. And would like the peace of mind knowing the the bearings aren't going to sieze and tear off the wheel. I have done numerous other fixups to get this truck in good running condition, but these wheel bearings are giving me fits. One guy at oreilly's, a local auto parts store, told me that sometimes the rubber lines can fall apart from the inside and cause a sticking caliper, does this sound reasonable, it sorta does to me. Also my master cylinder is leaking a little bit, and that is the next thing on my list to replace, along with the rubber lines. I just wanted some input from someone who has experience with the same truck.

I snapped that pic in a U-Pull-It junkyard in Horn Lake, MS, on Mitchell Rd just W of Weaver Rd. I haven't asked them how much they want for it, but probably not much for both.
***OOOPS ! ! ! A sharp user just noticed my mistake. That's a 302 - not a 300. Sorry for the confusion.***
Well, in the anything's possible category, My 223 AC setup uses an Alan Grove Chevy six bracket set, but mixes the pieces up. Sanden doesn't sap HP, and is very efficient. Very compact, looks slick, and keeps me cool down here in South Texas! I have good picture if I could figure out how to post it, or email me at buellb@gvtc.com.
