Cleaning Exhaust Malfunction....HELP
So I have a 2010 F450 6.4L. I don't even even get the messages that say "Drive to clean exhaust" anymore. The cleaning exhaust turns on for a couple of seconds and then the truck starts running bad (Sounds horrible). It would run like this until I turned the truck off and on. It would be back to normal and run fine until the Cleaning Exhaust lights up again (Sometimes 4 times a day!!) Seems like it's not even regenerating. This has been going on for a couple months. A couple days ago, the usual happened when the Cleaning Exhaust lights up and the truck starts running bad, but now white smoke starts coming out of the exhaust and fills up the street. My dad took it to the dealer and they didn't bother checking anything and were useless. They "took it for a test drive" and they "Couldn't see white smoke or find the problem." They told me that a small amount of white smoke during regen is normal, but this smoke filled up the street. So we got left with nothing but a 115 dollar labor fee and an empty diesel tank. Right when I pull out of the dealer, the cleaning exhaust turns on and out comes the white smoke. I refuse to take it back to that dealer. Anybody have the same problem? Advice?
