Hey yall. I'm looking to buy a brand new ranger soon. They have that great deal now that last untill july 9th to have 0% apr for 60 months, or 3000 cash back. I'm wondering if i should jump in quickly to take advantage of this. Also i am looking to get an edge because i like the look better for that and the new mp3/cd player is standard.
what would be a good deal for a
Ford Ranger 2WD Edge 3.0-liter SuperCab ext. cab 2-door, short bed
I have to assume this has a manual tranny- you didn't specify- and that it is the 371A option package. If that's the case, and it doesn't have any other options, then sticker price should be right around $18,600 (plus any options, and A/C should be no-charge), and invoice is right around $17,100-$17,200. You should be able to buy it for about invoice. Then you have to decide if you want the 0% or the $3,000 rebate. If you have decent credit and can shop your local banks/ credit unions for a rate, you may be better off taking the rebate instead of the 0%. Remember: when is "free" not free? When it's 0% financing on a new truck. You only get 0% if you give up a $3,000 rebate. Make sure you figure it both ways. And buying at invoice is not easy, you'll have to work at it. Especially in FL- sorry guy, but dealers in your neck of the woods don't have the best reputation, generally speaking. But then again, I've always been told that everyone in Naples is RICH, so what's a few hundred bucks? Just kidding- good luck and check back with us, let us know how you made out.

anyways what do yall think of ordering from cardirect.com
Seems like a great way to shop for price, especially if you hate the hassles of going to all the dealers. If they can get you the vehicle for invoice or less, NOT including the rebate, then I don't know where it's worth your time to shop any further. But establish the actual selling price FIRST- I see way too many people on here saying that they bought their truck for "$2,000 below invoice" when there was a $3,000 rebate included. That means they paid $1,000 ABOVE invoice when the rebate is included. The rebate is a transaction between you and Ford Motor Co., not between you and the dealer. The dealer contributes NOTHING to that $3,000, despite what they tell you. You can apply the rebate to your down payment, or you can have Ford mail you the check directly to your home address. So leave the rebate OUT when you're talking numbers. And the dealer doesn't contribute anything to the 0% financing, either.
