what kind of jack does the Ex come with from the factory? Is is sufficient to raise up the suspension assuming you had a level sruface to work on?
Small bottle jack located in the pass side cubby near back of ex. I have NO intention of using it LOL.
I have 3.5 ton floor jack, 6 ton jack stands, and 12k lb ramps.. and AAA if on the road
But what I'm trying to figure out is if the factory jack will actually raise the Ex enough to take off a tire IN A PINCH
This isnt a car/truck jack. Its an axle lifter. Thats a huge difference.
This neat little thing was designed to
lift one side of your axle with the deflated tire. Nothing more - nothing less.
......and for this tiny job this toy will work properly.
If you want to lift the whole EX until it lift even the wheel from the ground you should use a 60" HiLift Jack under a massive homebrewed Rockslider.
It will, I was so anxious to put the 2008 Super Duty wheels and tires on, I did it in my driveway. One tire at a time. What can I say? Where there is a will, there's a way!

Where there is a will, there are heirs to the estate too.
I have used the stock ford jacks (screw type they had forever) all the time for blowouts and whatnot. I had to use the X jack the first camping trip out to change a front tire. They work just fine. Even on our trucks with a load in the rear they lift without much problem. But they are tippy and small.
