wiper blades

What do you use as replacements? I know there are options and some are better than others. I had one rip so it's time to replace.

I have tried many different ones, and honestly, the only ones that have done well are MotorCraft. Every other set I bought hasn't lasted as long as the Motorcraft ones and they also have an indicator that changes yellow as a note to let you know they are due to be changed. Also, I had lots of chatter with other ones but not the MotorCraft ones.

I didn't know if that was the way to go out not. There's a bunch out there with different designs these days.

I've had good luck with the Trico "Sense" line of blades. The teflon coating doesn't chatter. Impossible to find locally, I had to order them from Amazon.com

TRICO Sense

Also, they actually make refills for the "Sense" line of blades... so I don't need to replace the entire blade.

In my part of the Country no blades work for long the summer heat & sun bakes them. Maybe the silicone blades but for no more than we use wipers I'm not paying for them.
I just buy whatever Walmart has on the shelf. They work as good as any.

My rule of thumb on semi-disposable stuff like that is to buy the second cheapest brand at the store. Decently made and you're not getting ripped of with any bells and whistles.

This is one of the small number of items I will make a special trip to the dealer for. Nothing else seems to wipe as cleanly, or even last as long, as the Motorcraft blades.

My favorite cheap wiper is some off brand sold at Grainger, it was like $3 and worked great. I just put on the cheapest Walmart blades a few weeks ago and don't bother, they are awful.

I always use Anco winter blades. Typically run them for a couple years then pitch em and pick up another new set. I drive more in winter than summer, and we have some pretty wild winters in the Rockies. They don't freeze up like the non-sleeved blades, and that's the selling point for me.

I used duralast flexblade or something like that. They were on sale. Worked ok.

Agreed. My Anco's get abused. Not only do they get used for rain, but occasionally mud too, and they bake in the sun during the summer. I toss em when they start squealing or making a streaky mess.

If only <a href=http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=54>th is</a href> was a real product...

I know my local Wal-Mart does... actually I think all of them here do.
Not sure of anywhere else... maybe just call the parts stores around you and ask.
