O.k. here we go. It seams that my friends explorer used to start when it was cold but once the thing got warm it would die. Now the thing just won't start at all. It is a v-6 '98 xlt. I told him to start with the basics, you know make sure you are getting fuel and gas and then we will go from there. Please help.
Thanks that is what I first thought but I checked to make sure that the pump is getting power and I found out that the pump is getting power in the acc position but not the ignition on position. Well I just had a car alarm put in about 4 months ago so I am going to run a jumper to the pump and then see what happens. any other ideas are very welcome thanks. Jeff
Well this is what happened I found out that when thet installed my car alarm they needed to take the chip out of the key and place it near the ignition switch because of the remote starter, the chip on the key works on infrared so you just need to get it really close to the ignition. Well they did a really crappy job placing it near the switch and it basically was flopping around loose. I disabbled the car alarm and put the chip back in the key and now the car works fine. Thanks for all your help guys. cobra413
