I generally do my own work if I deem it easy enough for me. So no engine or rear end swaps (risk factor too high). Like I mentioned, I really have had no problems with F-Series transfer cases before, so I know nothing about them. I assumed they were more expensive/harder to install, but I'll definitely look more into it after the input in this topic.

2 drive shafts(4 bolts per shaft to disconnect)
2 bolts on shifter linkage
6 bolts holding t-case to trans
so in review, that is 10 bolts to deal with. I can't think on a much easier job to do
You mite want to check the" new" one out a little before shukin' out the cash.Fluid condition,etc.Rent or borrow a tranny jack too,I tried the ol' floor jack thing once and got my hand smashed. Put a damper on things for awhile.
