Not many people are putting up 73-79 stuff in the b/s/t.

I have been mod on diff sites, its not a difficult task, lol.

If people would put their truck model/year/etc, in the title, it would be easier

 

It doesnt cost much more to add a buy/sell/trade category for our current categories

 

Oh, sorry I forgot they just put a 50 post requirement and 30 day minimum on classifieds, to cut down on people scamming and using it for their own personal ebay store.

The Classifieds section of the forum is broken down into the generation/year group. Sold items get deleted, and older items time out. There is also WTB, WTS and Free section as well as Whole vehicle, which is also separated by generation.

For sale - All Products
94-98 All Products
98-02 All Products
03-04 All Products
04.5-07 All Products

Trucks for sale section is broken down the same. Makes it easy to find parts real fast. Like I say, JMO and throwing out ideas.

 

Let me carefully ask this without stepping on any ones toes.

Are the mod team guys volunteers or getting a payck some how? And where exactly does the money I pay to be a supporter go, other than getting me a t-shirt?

blue04.5 has some nice ideas to manage and control the thread IMO.

 

I'll answer, they can do it....but they don't WANT to do it. point blank. if they tell you otherwise they're full of crap.

 

I have seen over time that a lot of people do not like change, because it means they either have to learn something new or have to do some work.

 

We are all volunteers and most have regular full time jobs outside FTE. Me I am a truck driver for instance.

So contrary to what MHB posted we don't live on the forum we just do the best we can.

 

I'm coming from this with the luxury of not caring either way...

If the mods say it's a PIA to put a buy/sell sticky in the 73-79 they're full of ****, they simply don't want to do it.

If you guys are serious, revolt! and do so....go over to FTC or FCS

That was and is completely uncalled for...when a group of people are working together to find issues and come to a happy medium for a resolve ...talk like either my way or move on is not productive, this was supposed to be an open discussion.

Threats will not work with people that dedicate time and resource for a great site. Never a need to ban.... the door swings both ways, if FTE is not what you want or like.... that is sad!

MTHB I read your instruction on how to "advanced search" the current classifieds. I will try it and just keep using the current method that works for me.

Was just trying to get something modified for the rest of the folks that come on here.

And would you chill out, please. Dang dud, yes we need you and your advice and help fixing these ol trucks up. So relax ok?
