Vehicular hypochondraic
Ok so my truck is my baby and ive had a couple. But whenever something happens ,i hear an ofd tick or it dies just cuz i have a moment that my wife has diagnost as being " a vehicular hypochondraic" where i think the absolute worst case scenarion no matter the problem and go to unusually far lengths to fix/make perfect these issues . For example wanted to throw 4.11 gears in the truck cuz i thought it had no power running 35inch tires . Thousand dollar swap right? the fixer was a timing advance and a carb tune up $40 .... Please tell me im not the only guy who suffers from "vehicular hypochondria" share some of your "DOH!!" Moments 
love to hear some example :small oil leak , replaced oil pan gaskets and valve cover gaskets .... Real problem bad seal on drain plug. SHARE AWAY

Funny you say that, I tend to think the worst all the time when 99% of the time it's not!
Kinda along the same line and i hope you don't mind me telling this story? My dad had a 65
Ford truck (Great Truck by the way!) and i asked him if i could use it for a week and he let me and this truck had an aftermarket A/C in it that would freeze you out, Well i used the truck thinking it needed the A/C Charged and Didn't even try it because i was CERTAIN that i needed to have the A/C Charged for my Dad, Well i used it for the week and about DIED because i lived in Phoenix at the time and it was well over 100^ + weather at the time! Well when i took it back to my Dad i told him that i would try and get it in and have the A/c serviced for him and he looked at me and said what the H&LL are you talking about? You had it serviced last year and it works just FINE!!!! I started the truck up and turned the A/C on and it blew out really cold air?????? My Dad couldn't stop Laughing!!!

Haha i liked that lol not a problem share away any storry is a good one especially those "DOH" moments haha kinda like i let my mother borrow a past truck to run to the store real quik when she got back she told me it was a gutless turd come to find she drove with the e brake on haha luckily ut wasnt far but it made me laugh but stories and even jokes welcome. Thats why i started this thread haha oh u kno chevy was built with heated tailgates right?...... So you can keep your a** warm waiting on the tow truck haha

LOL my Sister's Borrowed my Truck to take stuff to the swap meet one time and when they got back home they said" how come your truck starts out REAL SLOW and then it will go Fast ( Truck was a 4speed with Granny Low, Ha Ha)
