Swap question

I have a f250 sd v10 4x4. Crew cab I found a donor truck for the enging been in a crash
It's a 99 f250 v10 sd single cab 2 wheel drive can I just drop in or ? My engine code is vin s. So as long as that one is a vin s 8 the digit should this work for a direct swap ?

Should be a direct swap. Can't see anything being different maybe the oil pan because of the 4x4. And I think the oil cooler is relocated on the 4x4 but don't hold me to that lol

Chances are its not a direct drop in swap----issues with the ECM and the chassis wiring harness along with the engine sensor wiring harness might occur. This is primarily due the wiring harnesses themselves aren't universal and can greatly affect or interfere with proper running of the "new" motor.
