Good source for body mount hardware?
Working on replacing the body mount bushings on a friends 80 Bronco. Got the body hoisted off the frame and found the hardware completely wasted. Called and the only place we have had luck was Bronco Graveyard at about 279 iirc. Was in the 200s anyway. This seems rather steep for the pieces necessary, so I was wondering if anyone else out there in Broncoland knows of a more reasonable source for these pieces?

Contact havack on this site or on his own site, BroncoData.com. I recently helped him put a lift on his truck and he got replacement hardware at a hardware store. He was going to add an article about it to his site, but I don't know if he ever did.

Hi, check out places like performance suspension, prothane, summit racing. There are also lots of online sites. Stores like autozone and checker can special order, they have websites too.

Steve, are you sure we are talking about the same parts? I have never seen anything remotely like these pieces at your typical hardware store. Sure, he needs the bolts for the 10 mounts, but there are the cone-shaped pieces that the acutal mounts sit in, on, around....
If you have a hardware store anywhere near you that stocks these types of parts...well, I live in the wrong neighborhood

Right, I realize the need to save the bottom mount retainers, but we were unable to get them apart intact.
All is right with the world anyway. He paid the price and the new pieces should be here tomorrow. Luckily is only a project truck and not a daily driver.
