64 Stepside Project Beginning
Oh man,
Hi everyone. I'm new here, so I thought I'd just write down some thoughts.
I just bought 64 step side (what have i done!?), so this should be interesting. It runs fine and looks great (I gotta get a picture of it for my profile, I suppose), but has lots of little problems. Steering column loose, wipers don't work, brakes need adjusting, hard to start (although starts fine without the air filter, so I suspect just some adjustments to the carb are in order), etc. etc.
It has a 292 that kicks ****. In fact, I drove it from outside of NYC to outside of Philly yesterday to get it home without any problems.
I used to own a similar 63 that I bought from a friend in the late 70s while in the navy (phil, are you out there?), so I'm kind of reliving my youth, I suppose. My wife is ok with it, so THAT helps.
Oh, I guess I actually do have a question. Where can I get a manual for this 292 and the carb?
