got the turbo on the excursion last night. That was real fun, not. I bought some dorman bellowed up pipes and had them bolted tight. I wrestled with the turbo trying to line it up. Said screw it and loosed them up at the exhaust manifolds. Still couldn't get the two flanges to sit flush. So I never did test fit the dorman to the turbo intake flange. I think dowel pin was bigger than the hole. So i took my dremel like tool, and reduced the diameter of the dowel. I also was using an turbo exhaust housing from a turbo that I had bought a few years ago, I did the EBPV delete on it. I noticed rust in the hole the dowel goes into. So the old trusty dremel like tool cleaned that up and had some rust around the rim of the flange i cleaned up at the same time. After that, they fit together. Then I had to wrestle the clamp on. Then I tighted the up pipes at the exhaust manifolds. puttting the down pipe back was just as fun. Had to drop the passenger side transmission mount then had to use my jack to hold the pipe up so I could aligne it and get that clamp on. I had to dissasemble the rest of the exhaust to put it back together but need to buy like 3 more 4" clamps because the U bolt sheared due the nuts being rusted on. was up until like 1:15 this morning working on it.

but I'm slowly advancing to capture their flag
Rust sucks!!!!!!!!!!! Probably in a year or two will have to replace the rear part of the exhaust. The pipe thickness is only about half what it was after pealing the layer of rust off
Body getting rough also. Rocker panels will need to have major surgery along with the upper lip of the windshield

May want to think about doing it now, while you've got it all apart. I had to replace the Y pipe on mine, about a month after I had the engine done, had a leak in the bellows section, and that thing would whistle like crazy!
Hey, I sent all of those guys the links, so they could enjoy them also, I don't understand!!!
Yeah, yeah, whatever! Don't try and talk your way out of it, pal.....
