Thanks guys, I will do some investigating... I'm sure somebody around here stocks it, they dump plenty of salt on the roads next door in Nebraska and Iowa. Lots of John Deere dealers around too.

Where do you get that Fluid Film stuff? Thinking it might be a good thing to put on my old truck since I don't know when I'll get around to restoring it. Only have one small rust area on the right front fender so far.
Good morning Rob. Get that old truck protected

holeless oil pan on, new dorman bellowed up pipes on, glow plugs replaced, shoveled out the 12 years of dust/dirt/oil build up in the "valley of death". has and oil leak somewhere up top but not sure where. Could be from some point on the HPOP. cleaned it up some, hopefully be able to see from where once its running.

need to get some coolant from the dealer also. Be nice to get it mounted between the frame rails this weekend. I might use saturday to adjust the plow attachment points on the explorer for the better plow I bought this fall. get ready for the big snow sunday.

Jim 99% of the time, that "leak" on top is from the drain valve on the side of the FF bowl. Replace the orings or just through on an assembly at it. A little diesel drip goes a long way!! 33 or so dollars for the asy OR 28 for the oring kit and some piece of mind.
