just another new guy

Been a member here for a while but just picked up a project I will be sharing with you guys. 1950 F1, going to set this one up so the wife can drive it as well....mild 302 with C4, already have a No Limit IFS and 4-link...

thought the front bumper was kinda cool....

Yeah, that bumper is different. I wonder if there was a reason behind it other than looks.

I was curious as well whether the bumper served a purpose.....was told the truck was from a farm in North Dakota....

Hey Jestr,
Good to see another '50 on here! We also have the No Limit IFS - that will lower it around 3 inches with the standard spindles. I don't really know what to think of that front bumper - It's cool but looks lethal to something - not sure what. 302 /c4 sounds like a good combination.

Keep posting & do something every week to keep up your momentum.

Ben I was hoping to get more than a 3" drop. I asked about the drop spindles but No Limit said it would be too low. They did say they would exchange the spindles if I wasn't happy with the ride height once everything was back together....I guess we will se

That bumper keeps the farm hands from loafin', can't sit on the bumper. Ouch!

Hi Jestr,
Here is a pic of our '50 just at the tail end of the restoration to give you an idea of the stance. It's not in the weeds but lower than stock - also depends on your wheels/tires etc..
