Transmission
I have a 1996 explorer.Automatic transmission.4x4.
The transmission started leaking where it connects to the motor.
The mechanic said he would have to replace the front seal.While doing this he discovered that the torque converter was rubbing on the back of the housing.Now I need a new converter.Now he says that there may be a possibility of metal getting into the ports,plugging them up and burn the transmission up after he puts it all back together.Has anybody ever heard of this happening before.It don`t sound right to me.
