radiator leak issue

I know from many on this forum its an issue. The question i have is it happening to everyone, and is anyone complaining outside of ford on a legal level or under lemon law? Mine just stared leaking at 42K, and if it has to be replaced for $1900 then i will go through 3 before my truck is payed off.

This is a problem, and why is there no TSB?

i could be wrong but i think that the lemon law is only up to 2 years.

<O</Oi have seen it a lot on here but i have also talked with a lot of 6.7 owners they have not had an issue.

<O</Owhen mine went down i was out of the mileage warranty by 3k miles or so, but i was still within the 3 year mark, my dealer was able to convince ford to cover all parts, i paid for the labor around 300 or so. Depending on your dealer you might be able to get same deal as i did if you get it in as soon as possible. <O</O<O</O

By me it goes by milage. I have my 2012 17 months, going on 42,500K. Even so, why is this going bad and no possible fix? And why so costly, and no TSB from Ford?

I just put one in... cost me $3,000.00 in Canada.
Mine started leaking at about 50,000 mile but I drove with it leaking for about 20,000 miles.

Mishimoto is supposed to be coming out with an all aluminum one but nothing available yet. They sent me this Sept 9

Unfortunately, we do not have a 6.7L radiator being produced at this time. However, we plan on bringing a 6.7L in next week for initial R&D work. I would imagine that we are looking at about 6-8 months before a radiator will become available for this vehicle. Once available, we will be sure to contact you!
"

Tomorrow I am putting in a new turbo for about $4,000.00......

Also, no check engine light or low coolant light came on. It was only due to my visual inspection of low radiator antifreeze. so what happens is light comes on, and causes engine failure? engine is warranted for 100K, is this going to affect engine warranty?

Were both your secondary and primary leaking. Mine is only primary and no puddles. Secondary is ok.
Also, ford has two part numbers. Models with plow pkg and without. Mine is plow pkg.
I spoke to a lemon law attorney. And am being told that it's very possible it's leaking in the engine or head gasket. I'm this case the 100k engine warranty would be the culprit and ford would have to include new radiator as part of engine repair.

Just the primary rad was leaking. Secondary ok. I believe this is normal. Always the primary.

Sounds like you have bigger problems... good luck

Independent radiator shop found its heater core internal to engine which is leaking. So how does Ford fix this?

The heater core is in the dash.
They will need to remove the instrument panel to change it.

But should be way easier and cheaper than changing the primary rad.

The heater core is only $111.00

This is not making sense......

The EGR COOLER could leak coolant. But it can't leak oil

EGR cooler is $855.00

This is what radiator shop wrote up. They verified internal heater core is leaking both oil & coolant and EGR isnt cooling properly. They are saying its under Ford emission & motor warranty.
