Additional dvd screen (factory system).
Hello,
I just recently hooked up a reverse mirror camera for my 2005 Expedition Eddie Bauer. The mirror has 2 video inputs. One input will obviously be the reverse camera and the second i want to tie into the factory flip down dvd. (also have a dash cam under the mirror, unrelated) Having dvd on this screen is not super important but since i have the extra video in, i figured why not?? I ran all of my wiring and the only thing left is to tie into a video feed from the factory unit but there are so many wires going from the dvd player to the monitor. I dont know which wires to tie into.. I suppose i could shave the wires and test them but its smarter to ask first. I picked up a video signal amplifier as well. The pics i have posted is the wire feeding from the dvd player to the factory screen. If some are wondering, its hard to tell from the pics and especially when the monitor is on but the mirror function of this unit is actually perfect and clear. Its extremely close to a standard mirror reflection without any concerns whatsoever. That was my main concern at first. I also want to splice in another ir sensor for the remote feature up front and no i will not be playing dvds while driving
