Seasonal change for the F-1

After a 5 month wait for the machine shop and a few weeks of re-assembly by us on my warmed over EAB, my summer driving season started july 26. After a short visit at my engine builder friend's garage (with lift) for some minor maintenance, i moved the F-1 Flatrod II to my brother in law's property and it's winter storage tent. i managed to do 1500 miles this summer around town. This winter we will move the truck to and from the garage for new rear axle outer bearings, new bubba's distributor, new front springs. if i save up enough, maybe new intake and 4 BBL. it was a great year for the Flatrod II. Hope the rest of you had a good warm weather season. dick r.

Looks like a great place for the cats and mice to spend the winter.

we've stored it that way since 2006. i have put d-con on the cab floor and none ever disturbed. i think i'll add a little dish of anti-freeze and maybe a few dryer sheets in the cab and a bag of them under the hood. i start it up about once a month and we joked that the CO fumes must kill everything in the tent. i know the mice can make a real mess. i'll be checking it.

How well does that tent hold up to the snow? I contemplated getting one of those for my camper when I lived in WNY, but always feared the snow load would crush it.

I got one from Costco when I was in NY. It lasted about 5-6 years then it started to get brittle and when we got a big snow fall it started to come down... it was great while it lasted.

Your looks heavier than the one I had. Guess I got what I paid for.
