1989 f250 transmission swap??
ok the short version is i'm almost done with the swap from an auto to a 5speed. so far so good. some what of a pia but doable. i had a 1988 parts truck to go from and this helped tremendously. with out a parts truck i would not recommend this lol.
one of my many questions is: is will the wiring harness from the 1988 5speed (7.3 diesel) work on the 1989 auto (7.3 diesel) i was wanting to change this along with the cpu. the engine will not start with out plugging back in to the sensors on the old auto tranny. while i could just remove these sensors i would rather not just have them plugged in under the truck. Thanks ahead for any help and answers. i'm also open to other suggestions concerning the swap as well.
