Couple Questions
I'm getting ready to do some much needed wrenching on my '05 Ex w/ 6.0 PSD. (yes i know this forum is for the F-series)(but, a 6.0 is a 6.0) So, I decided to post my questions here and get some quick reponses, instead of researching with my slow computer.. (it gets really slow on FTE)
Going to replace the muffler, what's the one Napa sells that folks on here rave about? Cat delete pipe (suggestions)(yes, I know the legalities, and I dont live in CA)?
Best EGR delete kit? cost? Expected time for a decent mechanic (me) to install?
Whats the best diesel additive to use in the 6.0? (I use Wal-Mart outboard oil in my 7.3) I've been told, or read somewhere, not to use 2 cycle outboard oil in the fuel of a 6.0, is this true? (I have a copy of a lubricity test conducted on a variety of additives, ex; FPPF, Bio-Dielsel, Diesel Kleen, etc.), just wondering what everyone's experiences or results have been.
Just trying to extend the life of the engine and get as much MPG's as I can.

Here is the CAT delete I purchased, fit perfect on my F350 LB CC 04. Not sure if the exhaust is different for an EX or not, check before purchase.

Be careful if you choose to buy one from the after market exhaust companies. Some of them (CAT delete pipes) are made just for their own exhaust systems. Read the fine print before you order from them.

I use the Super Tech TC-W3 2 cycle oil every tank. Quiets the injectors for sure. And Diesel Kleen grey bottle in the summer, and white bottle for gelling protection in the winter.
It's 23 here in Vancouver Wa. this morning. Not too cold yet, but, it is cold for this area!
