Instrument cluster swap.
Will all instrument clusters from the 92-96 F-150 and the 97 F-250 and up interchange? Or do I have to stay within the model year. I want to swap in a cluster with the tach, but it's not the same yesr as mine. It's electronic though.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Jun-02 AT 08:20 PM (EST)]They will all physically interchange, but there have been a few people that have had problems with their battery not charging because of a difference in the voltmeter wiring. I'm not sure what year it changed though, so I'd make sure before swapping yours. F-150 through F-350 (gas) use the same cluster.

Instrument cluster swap.
I _THINK_ that anything pre 93 will work with pre 93 and after 93 SHOULD work up to 95. I have a 95 that I tried to swap a supposed 93 dash in and it did not work. I sold it to someone on this board and they said that the serial number pointed to a 92 model on the instrument cluster itself. He was putting it in a 94 and it did not work for him either. So you may need to look on the actual guages to be 100% sure of the year. After my experience I would try very hard to get the same year. The acutal swap is very easy, just test your battery voltage before and after the swap.
