I don't see any wires? 
Are you talking about the ones on the driver's side, taped up to a harness? If so, they are for the owner to add stuff. They go through the firewall into the cab and dead end.

Yep, they are "pass thru" wires - so you don't have to put holes in the firewall.
Since the Ex shares the same platform as the Super Duty, for the up-fitter folks (that convert Chassis into Ambulances, Motor Homes, etc.).
