Wide open desert...

So my Kawasaki ZX-14 is the weapon of choice... add a $50 part to remove the 186mph speed limiter and 200mph is readily available....

I don't do drugs, I don't cheat on my taxes... but speed and I have a thing going on... horsepower and speed has always been my addiction...

I'm trying soooooo hard to keep it all off-road, but it's hard... and on occasion I simply have to hit the highway for a fix.

Nothing, nothing in the world feels like doing a quarter mile in 9 seconds.
The most amazing feeling ever... and for $10k... where can you buy anything that can run the quarter in the 9s, for under $10k?

Kawasaki ZX-14! or Busa if you prefer Suzukis...
i miss tucson . . i was stationed there for 4 years and did alot of racing .. i know of a few older people that have some fast cheap toys down there .. it was 2003-2006 .. good times ... i have a bike that will hit 160+ and so will my car.. i too have been slowly going to the offroad, or the track only ways as doing that speed on the road is fun but to many cars round here ( pnw ) to hit. . . and the fines are stupid ( $4000 if you go over 100pmh) i cant wait to see the finial build .... it is going to look awesom

In all the years I raced my Lightning at the track, I saw some really wicked turbo charged Hayabusa's going from beam to beam in the blink of an eye.

Scary freaking fast.

Sounds like your v10 needs one of these!

What gears do you run with the 54's?

I'll run 488s and lockers... not in yet, as I can't drive it yet on the street and I have a good guy for setting those up... that is an art to me, getting the mesh of those just right isn't something a rookie can do!

I put a set in my 73 Vette years ago, gawd did they howl... trashed em in about 500 miles. Talk about taking some $100 dollar bills and burning them.

Stewart, when I moved to Tucson (either 2001, maybe 2002) I had some money. I walked into the Ford stealership and saw a black lightning on the showroom floor. 30 min later I drove out with it. I played Top Fuel Dragster at every red light I hit...

About 2 weeks after I bought it, I realized I couldn't even carry groceries in it, let alone tow a big trailer... so I took it back and bought a new dually.
But it was fun for two weeks!!!

My passion... 203mph on gps. Needs a turbo!!!

This is my 4th ZX-14... 1st was red... big mistake, then black, then pearl white, then platinum/black.

One of my prized photos, as in 1980, no one had camera phones, so to get a pic of the crazy stuff we did took some planning.... I could ride mile long wheelies even back then.
I think that's one of my greatest achievements!!! In the pic I'm on the onramp, South Florida, getting on I-95... on my 6 cylinder Honda CBX. Count the pipes!! 33 years ago.... where did time go?

Those 14's are monsters! My Bandit is geared for well over 200mph...I just haven't gotten there yet. It made 287hp on the dyno @ 18.5psi with C16. It was only tuned for avgas so the mains are a little small for the race gas but if tuned for it, it would probably hit 300hp. 18.5psi is about the limit for the current turbo, but man...it spools quick!

It's raining cats and dogs here today... this sux bad... I hate the rain.

Been 6 months or so since it rained last.... I forgot how much I hated it until today. New Jeep is a mess as I had to go into town... I'll have to actually wash it now.

I won't even walk out to the damn shop as it's cold and wet out 66 degrees.
Another day lost, no progress.

Anyone wanna fly into Tucson and do all my wiring? Like 2 miles of the stuff I have to cut out, no need for door chimes, and rear window wipers. At least 30 lbs of wire has to go...
I chopped it all out... then discovered it wouldn't start! lol Had to jumper the inertia switch wires. I don't use that... too often the bouncing off-road opens the switch. But I do have a
master fuel cutoff wired in in case I roll it. That's all the inertia switch does.... cuts power to the fuel pump.

Badass can I say that here??? I want a turbo sooo bad... I watch Ghostrider vids of him doing wheelies at 160mph.... and I love wheelies.
I can pump the front end to do a standup at about 100mph but I lack the brute power to power it up at any speed above that... Ghostrider has a turbo busa and all he has to do is rock that throttle and up it comes.

Take off that long swingarm and go have some real fun!!!!g

rch100000007777 where do u live? Why can't all you gearheads move to Tucson so we can have a powerfest?

Speaking of twins, there was a guy at SEMA in Vegas last week that had a Camaro with twin V-8s in it... I took a pic... I gotta find it and post it up.

They were inline, so the second one was almost in the driver's seat....
Sick bastid he is!!! lol

One of the reasons that I bought my 2000 Ex and sold my 05 was because the 00 had the Whipple and the full Banks headers/intake and exhaust. it also has the factory 4.30 gears. It had 70K on it when I bought it, and the Whipple had been installed at about 45K. Have had a few gremlins, but what can I expect from a machine that is almost 14 years old. SO I deal with them as they come along. My biggest concern, is that if I need to replace the Whipple Brain Box, I won't be able to, since there are no "tuners" here in Kodiak, AK. So I just pray it survives till I move back to the lower 48, where I would like to work with 5-Star, and a tuner. Replace the injectors and fuel pump, to get rid of the "boost-a-pump" set-up and additional injector on the supercharger to allow full monitoring and adjustment of Air-Fuel to keep it in range and not allow it to go rich or lean. So far it is a blast to driv3e. Instant throttle response, and even with the 35's, I can break them loose pretty easy, but had to add radius rods to the rear to getr rid of the axle wrap even after ditching the stock Ex springs for F350 springs...
Whipple still makes the supercharger, but all brackets and pieces would be a problem. They sent me a full manual via pdf for the wiring diagram, which has helped me solve several issues thus far.

For a future rig, you out-to look into the stand-alone kits from Ford Racing that is a DOHC 5.4 supercharged like the GT-500's and Shelby's get. They are putting out 550 to 600 HP stock! The Super Snake is near 900 HP! And much lighter than a V-10!

Dreams...

Ghostrider is insane....insanely talented.

His name fits him too, because a human shouldn't be able to ride like that.
