460: Carb or EFI

460: Carb or EFI
I have '87 E350 4x4 with 26,000 miles and the Motocraft "Holley" carb.
I'm told I should swap the carb for an EFI.
I'm open to suggestions.
Also, what year did Ford start offering 460's with EFI in vans? Is there any difference between van 460 EFIs and other 460 EFIs?

88 was the start year for 460 EFI in vans. The long block is the same van vs pickup. However, the farther you get from the long block, the more differences there are.
In case you don't know, the EFI heads and pistons are different - so don't expect to easily swap the EFI parts onto your existing engine.
