1977 F-250 4x4 Dimensions
Can anyone provide me with the length, width, height and wheelbase of a regular cab, 8 foot bed, 1977 F-250 4x4, the highboy model please. It needs to be a bone stock truck (no lift!!), on 215X85R16 tires. It's for a project I'm doing, and I literally cannot find specs/dimensions ANYWHERE. Length is what I really need.

215/85/16 tires are much newer, originally these trucks likely had either 7.50-16 or 8.75/9.50-16.5 tires on the appropriate wheels........Width or overall length wouldnt necessarily be influenced by stock vs lifted, and wheelbase wouldnt change either..........And the three tire sizes i mentioned would all change height

Remember that several different tire sizes could be "Bone stock" depending on GVWR and other factors....When they changed tire sizing back in im guessing early 80's, they started phasing out the older size designations first in the 16" sizes. At one time you had 7.50-16's as common sizes, and the 235/85/16's were considered the replacement for the 7.50's. the 215/85/16 was mostly used on dually trucks, it was a common size for F350's, not f250's......

Again, your asking a question we really cant answer..........a 70's Highboy is a different truck than a 77-1/2 to 79 Lowboy, and an 80 and later are even more different......An f250 highboy didnt really offer light duty/heavy duty models, they were basically all considered pretty heavy duty in there day. they all had full floating rear axles, and all that ive seen have had 7000lb+ GVWR's.............Since they sat pretty high from the factory, many have never been lifted. Find one thats got 235/85/16's on it, and you will probably be as close to original stock height as you will get. The light duty f250 from the 1980's had a semi floating rear axle, many had 300 I6's and 302V8, and up to 7000 plus or minus GVWR, while the HD F250 would have been at around 8510 or higher Gvwr........
