I have a 95 F250 with 90K miles, E4OD, great truck, I love it, never had a problem with it.
I am new to the site, and enjoy all the info and help.
My shifter on the column has a lot of play in it. The tranny can be in Drive, but the lever moves from R all the way down to L1 with out moving the tranny. Is this something to worry about, If it is how do I correct it.
Also, In L1/2, my engine requires a lot of pedal, with high revs, to get little, VERY little wheel movement. I seems like its not in gear, but I have counted down the notches(see previous Problem).
I have seen this before. Look up under the dash where the shifter is attached to the cable. There should be 2 bolts that bolt the cable bracket to the steering column. Those bolts are prob loose or gone. Good luck, hope that's it. Later. Hippie.
