So my F-350 did not come with a bar or a jack. The lug nuts are 1 1/16 and being a 350 it has lots of clearance. So what is everyone using for their jack and wrench set up? I'd prefer to not drag around a big wood block to go under a bottle. I have a tool box under the bed (not the bed tool box, a steel box under the stake bed) but it seems to be filling up quick. And any source for the organizer that goes over the gas tank?
I can't garantee it but I think you can go to a JY and get any jack and lug wrench out of a H.D. F250 or F350 through 1997. That hollow spot down low on our inner cab corners a good cubbie hole to stash you block of wood.
A Hi-Lift jack or a clone is very good. The shear pin is good for 7500. I changed the rear springs on my 72 F-100 with two Hi-Lifts and two 18" wide fir logs back in the '80's. Jeff, there were '98 HD's made before the SD's came out.

Oh I know. 98 and 99 are confusing years for a lot o' folks so I left that out. 3 body styles between those two years.
I don't have a 350 but I keep a small trolly jack in the truck. It is low to start and will raise the 5-6 in needed most times for a flat tire. Not perfect but works well for me.
I'm actually headed there this week to look for replacement lenses for the tail lights. I'd like to find like the original but I'm thinking it's a long shot. They have the bump in the middle and it looks like modern ones are just basically flat without that feature. Plus my side marker lights are a combo of red and amber. They need to all be amber so I don't end up in a conversation with a LEO about it. Had the same problem on my 53 Chevy. It had red turn signal lenses in the front that were original. Got a long lecture on how I wasn't driving a fire truck or other emergency vehicle.
we always used a bottle jack and a cube. The jack fits inside the cube when its turned upside down. its the same height as the jack and a bit bigger than the base of the jack so it slides right in and with the jack in it you could still fit three quarts of oil inside. Hardly ever needed it, but when you did, the extra 12 " of height was awesome. I used the cube for a seat more often then not, and Dad used it for a step stool. That allowed us to use the rest of the box for a small tool box and spare hoses belts flares and all the other goodies.
The cube was strong enough and stable to lift the truck with four horses in the back (Stock rack) on at least two occasions that I remember
