OK guys I had a beautiful 08 suoerduty with 8" lift and 38s but with our family growing I was forced to sell her and I purchased a 2000 f250, it has 170k miles on her now the motor has about 80k (5.4 v8) has a nice steel cowl hood and a nice stance. Little rusty and I'm trying to decide if I should put money in to fixing the body rust or just get rid of her and find something a little cleaner. I would like to put a mild 3-6" range lift on it but I have no idea what's up with the suspension it has way to many springs up front and sits level, I think it has 6 leafs up front! I'm afraid if I buy a bolt on kit I'll run into problems due to someone else's hack job. Should I go ahead and buy a kit and see if I can make it work? What's the cheapest way to get a few inches of lift?
Few other problems I'd like to address eventually: driver window goes down slow and only goes about halfway and gets stuck, fuel gauge shows full at all times, front end wonders from time to time and about once a week it pulls real hard back and forth going down the road its been doing this on and off for about a month now. Talk me into keeping this puppy show me her potential!!

Nice looking truck, I would say the steering issue is due to the front axle ujoints, the get dry and cause the steering wheel to jerk back and forth. It doesn't matter if the truck is in 4wd or not.
Prob the easiest would be to turn your wheels with the hubs unlocked and reach behind in the open knuckle area and turn the front output shafts and see if they bind when you spin them by hand..I suppose you could also jack it up and turn the wheels with the hubs locked in and spin the tire to see if you feel any bind as you spin the tire by hand..
