I have a 90 ext cab, and I'm wondering what that "hump" is in the back of the cab that runs under the jumpseats along the floor. Anyone ever have any ideas? It has to be there for a reason (Logically anyway) I just can't figure out what the prupose might be. I'm looking for a place to keep my jumper cables, tools, ect. and I thought that would make a nice cubby hole for that stuff. Anyone know what its for, or have any other ideas for a place for the emergency stuff?
Should be a frame member but I'd have to go check. For tools and the like, you could stuff them behind the jump seats. If you need more space and don't wanna buy a bed mounted toolbox, you can devise a mount for a military ammo box and locate it under the hood somewhere. If you have a 5spd, why not just ditch on the jumpers; you can roll start it.
