hubs

I just got an 03 exc with manual locking hubs with a dial on dash. Am I to assume that when I lock in and turn to 4x4 hi I won`t experience a vacuum leak? I do not want to find out as I`m driving through snow and kiss off snow banks. My truck is super reliable with the lever on floor.
Thanks

You'll have to give it a good looking over. When the manual hubs were installed they should have capped off the vacuum lines somewhere, either at the wheelwells where the hoses come off the frame or at the vacuum switch thing-a-ma-jig on the passenger side fender well under the hood. The line needs to be capped somewhere to prevent a vacuum leak that will cause your HVAC to default to the defrosters.
