I've got a 77 F150 with a locked up 390, 4x4, 4spd, nothing special. And I've got a 94 F150 with a good motor and everything else is clapped out. So my plan is make one good truck out of two. So my plan is swap in the EFI 300 I6 into the 77. I know the computer/wiring crap needs to swap. Going to use the gauge cluster from the 94. My biggest questions are will the radiator from the 94 work on the 77? and will the motor mounts (the ones on the frame) from the 94 be a direct swap to the 77?
The radiator should work fine, you might have to drill new holes to mount it, but should fit.
Motor mounts on the other hand, not so much. Transdapt, or the local wrecking yard will help you out with that.

Out of curiosity, why swap over the 94 radiator? If the existing 360 rad is in good shape, I'd just use that. It'll help keep things cool, especially if you're gonna tow/haul.
IIRC, the mounting pattern is the same across the 240/300 range. If you can find a set of 4x4 300 mounts, you'll be golden.
I'd reuse mine, but it unfortunately got poked with a skid steer fork...
The 77 set up is currently 390 4x4
The 94 is 300 4x2
The frame mounts are no big deal. I can get them both from LMC for 40 bucks. I was just hoping I could get away with using what I have without buying something I really don't need to. I also have a set of frame mounts from an 88 F250 4x4 that had a 300. Dunno if they'd be any better.
My goal is to build a truck that's virtually indestructable on a budget. I figure if I keep fluids in it and not be stupid (the hardest part...) the EFI 300, NP 4spd, D44 and 9" will be hard to kill...

My 79 F250 4x4 Has an 89 300 that is .030 over, Offy intake and 89 exhaust, NP435 D44 front and D60 rear with 4.10's should be pretty stout for a wood/hunting truck. Thinking about a spool for the rear,,, I didn't get the whole truck, or I would've tried to utilize the EFI.
The frame towers from the '94 might work in the '77. As far as the rubber cushions, they can be bought at the local parts store for around $20. If you have access to a torch and welder you could build your own. Check out the transdapt website and see how they look. They aren't to bad to build.
