Questions for those of you who, purchased there. Would I be getting the latest in design of a particular product? Would I be getting new and not rebuilt products in unopened boxes? Has your orders been complete? Do they have decent prices and service? Your answers will be appreciated. CB
The regular store. And I just priced the product at Amazon. Prices are the same as is the shipping. CB
I've ordered from them in the past. I bought the speakers for my F-250 from them and they came with the adapters.
When I bought the amplifier for the pickup I bought it from Amazon because I get free shipping with my Prime account. If you don't need the support or free adapters then I order from Amazon.
Recently had one major SNAFU purchasing a JL Audio amp from FleaBay---never again for such a purchase! I'll accept some of the responsibility since the price I paid was just about the same as what I could have found locally through an authorized JL Audio dealer. When the amp died I was out return shipping cost ($20) plus the seller wanted me to pay another $20 to ship it back even though it was under their warranty.
Crutchfield happily replaced a failed CrimeGuard alarm system, shipped a replacement long before I could send them the defective unit---in fact it arrived two days after the first call for service. No charges past the original purchase---same price as online, no shipping and a great return/warranty policy.
There might be lower costs to be found but having gone through this BS once unless its half priced AND includes a full factory warranty Crutchfield would be my first stop when shopping.

That is lot in this post says a lot about where you buy in general. It is not that buying online from some places means you don't have a warranty, but it can mean "god luck trying", if it ever needs warranty coverage.
In my little world, I can't begin to compete with the high-volume operations on eBay, but my price includes me at your front door within 24 hours if something goes wrong. Crutchfield is known for service like what is noted above. When warranty is not an issue, I go with the lowest price. Not so much otherwise.
I made a small parts purchase once from a well-known online company and they sent me the wrong stuff. Not what I ordered pure and simple. They had changed suppliers, but not changed their advertisement. Got a total run around. Had to threaten a lawsuit before they would take it back and refund my money, even after I explained to a total nitwit at a call center what they sent was impossible to install. Kept insisting I could make it fit. I consider price, but it is only one factor on my list.

Reason: word choice
Man you guys must have bad luck. Everything stereo related ive bought from amazon for half the price and have never had a single problem. Oh well
I think you hit on it. As long as things go as planned, it works out fine. Get kicked in the teeth a time or two and you tend to be a bit more cautious.
it's like I tell folks when I install what they buy on the Internet, I don't mind a bit to install it, but if it tears up, call the folks you bought it from, don't call me. Just works better that way.
I've used them and they've always been very helpful. I bought a pair of large floor standing speakers from them and opted for the lower scratch and dent price. When they arrived the boxes looked trashed...but the speakers were as adverised, each had a small ding on the back that was barely noticable.
