Yes I have just put a new turbocharger into my 2006 ford f350 and when i started the truck the turbo didnt sound good at all. It sounded like a huge amount of air was coming out. And when i reved the engine up it sounded ok but as sson as i let go of the accelarator it went right back to a leaking air issue. The turbo also sounds scratchy. I took the oil line off and checked for any kinks no problems there. Also at the beginnning i had exhaust leaking out the pipes, i tighted them up and no exhaust leaks. when i drove it no CE lignt came on and truck drives fine but konw the noise is bad .Should i send the turbo back to manufaturer or is there someting im misssing
do i need someone to push on the gas to feel it. or will it come out on its own. Sorry to ask but is it most likly to be coming from the exhaust . Due to it happening at idle. or is it coming from the intake
Rushing air sound is likely ypipe to turbo joint leak
If it leaks you will feel air It will leak More with Higher RPM but if you get it sealed at Idle its usually OK you will want to watch the joints for Black Soot I check everything at a 2 week intervals

Sometimes it helps to have someone "blip" the throttle and searching in the dark with a flashlight can aid in spotting the smoke quicker.
ok i got the leak fix and sound good at idle and i beilive its good with throttle applied. IM hereing a low roaring noise when i get up to 40 to 50mph not sure if that could be turbo issue or im just looking to hard for noises. other than the noise truck drives better than with the old turbo
It does whistle more thant the old one but i figured it was because it was brand new
