Go through the driver side fender well and clean the area off where the oil cooler connects to the block. An iPhone with the camera is the way to go because it can fit in there to get a photo of the area.

For a 99, it should also be located on the passenger side valve cover on a sticker.

Ok guys thanks for the help. Looks like I will be going to Bellingham to get parts.

Just a guess from the engine serial number that it was made in brazil and has pmr rods? Anyone know better?

Thinking of doing uppies and a turbo soon....

No sense in making a window in the block if it is a weak one.

In order th have PMR's the engine would have to have been changed with a newer engine out if a SD. And if that was the case then you'd have e fuel unless they changed the cam

Isn't the serial number also on a sticker with a barcode on the front of the HPOP res?
