I have a '97 f-350 crew cab with 143,000 mi ( yes original) My alternator seems to be going out. had it checked at parts store and the it was working just not putting out proper amps. My question is was is the proper amps the alternator should be putting out?? the had one with 130 amp, 165 amp and 215 amp ( for ambulance) obviously not mine. which is correct one and where is good place to get new or re-man one?? Tired of ones going out after few months.
