Can any one help me identify this 3 speed transmission? The numbers are: C3TR
1A040 or (7A040)
W-2
C112 or(G112)

I know the C stands for 1960's so I guess it is a 1963 but the rest I don't know. It is synchronized in all 3 gears.

That sounds like the cast in stuff. To ID I need the info from the small tag under a bolt head on the passenger side of the main case.
